White Water World is Dreamworld's latest edition, a water park located right next door the famous Australian theme park. This is Dreamworld's new version of super fun but with one key addition, water.
Only a 30 minute drive from Brisbane and 15mins from the centre of the Gold Coast, White Water World has all latest water park rides from around the world. The water park is setup to suit everyone's needs from the tiny tots right through to the thrill seekers at heart.
White Water World is entirely themed on Australian water culture and brings together all the rides and services together nicely. The park opens at 10am and closes at 5pm most days. However I would check the opening hours during cooler months.
Rides for Thrill Seekers One of the feature attractions at White Water World is the Green Room and it is guaranteed to be a highlight for all you water thrill seekers. It puts your nerves to the test when it calmly pushes you along on a giant yellow tube, only to drop you 10 metres into a giant green funnel. Once inside the funnel you are thrown up onto its sides until you are finally spat out in a great gush - awesome fun!
Once you have escape the Green Room, it is time to jump straight onto the Super Tubes Hydrocoaster. The great thing about this water ride like so many others at White Water World, is that you can experience it with more than one other person at a time. For example the Hydrocoaster can take up to 3 people in a single ride. The Hydrocoaster, one of only two in the world, takes you on a journey around a 236 metre water track that includes going up as well as down. At first it feels a little unnatural going up a water ride, but then as are screaming laughter all the way you realise how much fun this ride really is.
You should then make your way over to The Bro, the world's first 8 lane water slide racer. Once you make your way to the top of the water tower with your own mat, it is time to take on 7 of your best friends in a race to the finish. The Bro basically has two parts, the first is an enclosed tube section that winds around on itself followed. It is not until you get onto the second section of the ride that you can see where you are in comparison to the other people you are racing. At this point you are straight sliding to the end hoping to make some ground on your friend who is in front.
For the Kiddies For the smaller kids, White Water World has two fantastic specially built attractions. Nickelodeon Pipeline Plunge is all about getting wet in the funniest way possible. With over hundreds of square metres of water-soaked craziness and heaps of interactive water activities, you wont get the kids of this one anytime soon. The feature of this ride come play area, is the massive bucket that sits right at the top of whole structure. Every few minutes the bucket is filled with water, which then tips over and splashes everyone in sight with heaps of water.
The other area made for kids is Wiggle Bay. It is a fully interactive toddlers play zone that includes all your favourite Wiggles Characters. Complete with mini slides, interactive sprays, colourful water cannons and giant instruments - children can splash and play all day, composing their very own wiggly music. Wiggle Bay is a safe environment filled with fun and learning, plenty of shade and lots of bright colours. Lifeguard supervision and shallow waters means peace of mind for mum and dad as toddlers explore 14 interactive play devices including some of the world’s most cutting edge musical interactive equipment.
Overall it is a wonderful day out for the whole family and would recommend getting there sometime over the summer period. Adults are $42 and Children and Pensioners are $28 each. Children under 4 are free.
